Andrew, since you brought up audio problems, did you ever get audio to work on the Android? P.S. I have reached a roadblock with Termux on my Android tablet but am hoping for a breakthrough when I get some extra time to look at it.

i had mysterious crashes on my slackware while recording via both audacity and guvcview. Upgrading this lib apparently fixes them!
