Andrew, some problems/feedback and I have attached the thirdparty/Makefile based on current GIT + 0004-TEST (some manual editing) so you can see What are all of these changes with "autoreconf" for?
Old libraries (like libraw1394..) from thirdparty tend to have older autotools-based build system. This build system tend to fail on unknown architectures (like aarch64.. or Powerpc64-le) even if library's code builds fine. This sequence of calls was found while building for Elbrus architecture and I think it will be useful for at least making build progress further on all those new arches like e2k, ppc64(le), aarch64, risc-v..
This builds, BUT I have no way to test them:
*0002-Test-try-to-fix-autoreconf-in-libav1394.patch *
*0004-TEST-autoreconf-for-**thirdparty-libs-for-new-**arches.patch* The above patch fails so far with: make[2]: *** [Makefile:353: /tmp/cin5/cinelerra-5.1/ thirdparty/../thirdparty/build/libdv.configure] Error2 And before that had to fix line: + libiec61883.cflags?="$(call inc_path,libraw1394)" to remove the blank space between the "+" and "libiec..."
oh, probably damaged patch (it still builds for me..)
You already removed this patch which fails to build and I do not see any replacement so skipping: *0003-fix-dav1d-0.5.1-patch-non-x86-incompatible-atm.patch* make[2]: *** [Makefile:341: /tmp/cin5/cinelerra-5.1/ thirdparty/../thirdparty/build/dav1d.built] Error 2
yeah, you can skip this one, sorry.

you probably can just remove 'less build in openexr 2.4.1' patch from folder with patches and add 0011 from this series ..
sorry for trouble (it seems clang-13 compiles this just fine..)
