Well, hopefully if it about to backfire it will do so early :) I think hw-accelerated profiles now need cin_pix_fmt set explicitly in them, plain h264_vaapi was laking this it seems but may be we can delete/symlink it to vaap h264 420_8bit profile? It also will be nice to see if nvidia /nvenc formats still work.... (I'll try on my second desktop, may be by reusing appimage we created earlier) Thanks!
Hopefully Andrew can verify that I believe I am caught up with the exception of possibly the dav1d Makefile and the ladspa appimage inclusion.
In addition I would like to find time to try out anylinux-appimage to replace the current linuxdeploy.
