Not sure I understand.  No matter where you put the cinelerra image, it will ALWAYS use $HOME/.bcast5 (for your username).  The only way to get a different "bcast" to be used is by setting it like this:
     CIN_CONFIG=/directory_where_you_want_it/bcast6  ./cin_binary_start_file
where bcast6 can be any name and cin_binary_start_file is the cinelerra binary.
