I did builds on Fedora, Ubuntu 16 and Debian 9.1 32 bit with both patches in and ffmpeg 6.1. Since this was the first time I built with tiff 2.6.0 and ffmpeg 6.1 on Ubuntu and Debian, I tested by loading using ffmpeg and rendering a tiff sequence. No problems discovered with these very simplistic tests. Will checkin 2 patches on next desktop boot up.

I made two customizations: "--disable-doc" to keep the build from
crashing is adding "AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIRS([m4])" in configure.ac
otherwise autogen.sh doesn't work. The second one has been years in
the making.

I just re-run autogen.sh after first patch, second one is untested yet
(need full rebuild for this, rn I have shared (system) ffmpeg build
for recompilation speeeeed.
