[Cin] Git tag for release?

I see version was bumped, so if it was our real real release we better to add git tag to it like it was done for quite some time. Phyllis, sorry for phenomenal distraction yesterday - I was looking for quickly check on how my build fixes actually build and found rabbit hole of Makefiles and slightly different behaviors!
