Quite an interesting idea with merit.  But CinGG official version is 5.1-Infinity which was kind of group agreed upon a few years ago so as not to get caught up in the version wars with Heroine Warrior which is at version 8.  I have to agree with Andrew''s assessment that version numbers are updated to reflect major new features.

Hope springs eternal -- that some programmer comes along who has lots of time and interest to make major changes.

Well, I guess for this we need a bit more, um, showtime? May be at vintage computer enthusiast circles, who are not afraid about old coding styles?

.Hi

Cin-GG 5.1 has been out quit a while. Currently Cin-GG happends to have
the same version 5.1 as her current FFmpeg version base?

Just my thought without much thinking what it implies beyond
documentation updates:
Because FFmpeg is a major part of Cin-GG, would it be beneficial beyond
informative to let Cin-GG version follow her FFmeg base version; like
version 6.1 next?
