When it did not work on my desktop, instead of libjbig, I got libbz2.so.1.0 with the same error message. 

isn't this a bit strange? appimage supposed to sidestep this problem by packaging all libs into.. image, no? 

found this article, may be tool(s) used for creating our appimage or their blacklist need some tweaking?
