Looks like at least 2 people are not seeing the problem you see, but we all have different O/S setups so you still might have uncovered an issue.  I just now did a full build on the latest Fedora 41 version and my tests show no strange wave artifacts.  If you get a chance to try a CIN_CONFIG with the default Cinelerra_rc file and you still see a problem, please let us know.

I think, I saw somewhen audio waveforms shifted up. Then I realized, I
scrolled mouse wheel while mouse cursor was accidentally over the option
menu for vertical scaling of audio, and this scaling was switched. I just
returned the scale back, and then tried to forget about it.
