I disabled a lot of features (giflib, openexr, x10tv) but it compiled against separately installed into /usr/local ffmpeg 8.0
Gcc 4.9.2 wanted -latomic for ffmpeg build, but after adding this and -ldrm to cinelerra/Makefile it worked!
Just fit into 1 Gb of ext4 partition.
qemu-system-ppc -M mac99,via=pmu -cpu G4 -hda ~/AndrewR/5gb_ppc_debian8.qcow -cdrom ~/AndrewR/void-live-ppc-20210825.iso -boot d -m 1G -accel tcg,tb-size=512
So, I booted livecd, then chrooted into Debian install.
This is running fbdev (no graphical acceleration).
I think Debian 8 s libgif 4.1 just too old for our filegif, but I compiled system/static for lesser compilation time and disk requirements.
configure switches: ./configure --with-single-user --without-thirdparty --disable-libdpx --without-vdpau --without-vaapi --without-shuttle --without-shuttle-usb --without-lv2 --without-libdpx --without-openexr --without-filegif --without-x10tv
