I only read the Online information about the book, but found the review interesting enough.  Video Editing is a hard job and to hear that only 1 out of 95 minutes of the film made it into the movie is pretty discouraging for a beginning editor -- sometimes it is better not to know.  Plus I could never watch all of Apocalyse Now movie.

So, I found this relatively small (163 pp) book

It was interesting to read while by our time digital revolution obviously happened ... I can't be just as optimistic as author about future ahead of us (also, book feels a bit too euro/usa centered for my taste ... While it was never intended as monography on history of world's arts it feels ..more outdated in this aspect. Hopefully for the best ...). But it seems some ways of image/motion based arts/living experience will stay with us ... In some form. So, may be even if this or any other particular  book itself will be obsoleted completely very soon - thinking about how we think and live will remain ...interesting practical question
