It is amazing how Praat ended up here :D I studied under the authors at the
University of Amsterdam. Even contributed some code :)

What is the issue? We already have the code in our repository that syncs
audio tracks.

well, original request was for ffmpeg users, so guess they have/had some need for this .... and to be honest may be driving ffmpeg over media files will be easier than figuring out cin's internals ?
