Cingg sources also changed a bit ... but for cygwin you better to watch out for libpulse-devel , libtheora-devel and libsndfile-devel 1.0.28 being installed (I think set of groups outlined in manual does not install them, so I added them manually via cygwin installer. I selected "show all" and then unchecked "hide legacy/outdated " checkbox in left bottom corner and searched for each individually, set them to install and they appeared for cin's configure .... Postinstall step from cygwin installer quite slow, so installing as many packages as possible in one go is useful.)
I suppose I could drag out the old Windows 10 computer here and see what is on it. Most likely it will still have the Windows 10 version of CinGG that was working. But I am dreading doing that.
oh yes, windows update can take loooong time ... this is not urgent, speed of resulting binary is not great and user still need to install cygwin anyway for X server and libs ...
