I append the file to Blend Algebra and Blend Program in both Latex and txt versions for any revisions. I kept the treatment of the two plugins together because doing them separately would have doubled the number of pages with the only difference being a few sentences. However, if you prefer two entries it is easy to make the change. The text should be put (copy and paste) between the plugins “Auto Scale” and “Blue Banana” @Georgy I have taken a lot out of your detailed explanations, if you feel that this is unclear or otherwise improvable, please let me know. For example, I took out the parts for “programmers,” which would actually be the most important part of these plugins. I put the link to MantisBT for your full explanations, but I don't like to link back to the bug tracker, so if you make a guide for the source or whatever, I will change the link to the latter. If you think it would be better to put your full explanation instead of a summary, I have no problem with that.
Andrea/Georgy: I think the part for Programmers should definitely go in the manual in the "Developers Section" with a reference in the 2 plugins to that section. It is too important to be separated from the manual. I am not concerned about the manual being too big because it is easy enough with the HTML version to get to the single section to read. Andrea, actually after re-reading BT #670, all of the "programming" function information really needs to be with the plugin and not in another section. It is what makes the versatility possible. Really it is not "programming", but usage. On Tue, Feb 18, 2025 at 9:53 AM Phyllis Smith <[email protected]> wrote:

Andrea, please send the png's to just me at [email protected] since they are big. Even more contemplation on my part -- I think the entire explanation Georgy provided needs to be in the manual except for maybe not all of the examples. I plan to put the ovl2, ck ydiff, transitions, and swap files on the server in a permanent spot for examples. On Tue, Feb 18, 2025 at 10:09 AM Phyllis Smith <[email protected]> wrote:

Andrea, Sorry for all the replies, but I am just so excited by this clever work of BlendAlgebra and BlendProgram and have not fully discovered all of its capabilities yet. The ovl2.tar.gz example is a work of art and ydiff is going to be my new go-to test mechanism. For the purposes of Andrea "latexing" these for the Manual, I have created a permanent place on the Server for the examples and the "Advertisement" section of sge's explanation at: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/BlendPluginExamples/ So this should take some burden off of the "latexing". Thank you. On Tue, Feb 18, 2025 at 9:41 AM Andrea paz via Cin < [email protected]> wrote:

Here is the second Blend_2.tex. I am not putting the txt format because Georgy's guide is already there. Great idea about the folder so you can download test projects and see examples.
Thanks, Andrea. I have been working on incorporated but have some kind of latex error that stops all the rest of the plugins after Blend, but I will figure it out and let you know when I check it in. On Wed, Feb 19, 2025 at 7:48 AM Andrea paz <[email protected]> wrote:

There is a README attached. I updated it, adding information on the later added parameter HAS_ALPHA, and correcting some mistakes. Have put a note to BT on proposed addition of this readme to the distribution in plain text form (see BT). _______________________________________________________________________________ Georgy Salnikov NMR Group Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry Lavrentjeva, 9, 630090 Novosibirsk, Russia Phone +7-383-3307864 Email [email protected] _______________________________________________________________________________
Since I will be making new AppImages tomorrow, I wanted to make sure the HTML and PDF manuals contained the information on the SGE 2 new plugins. Not only was the work SGE did on the code huge, so was the documentation. Luckily Andrea was willing to put it in Latex format. I changed some wording and punctuation, but ran out of time in total review so checked in what I had -- I hope it does not appear to be massacred. The important note in the first paragraph of the Blend plugins is to refer to the original document as store on the website: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/BlendPluginExamples/README.blendal... Although this file is also as written in the "doc" directory, users with AppImage do not have easy access there so that is why it was put on the website also.
