Updated my rosa 2016 64bit spec file
latest Cingg source release (with ffmpeg 8.0) builds fine in chroot https://cloud.mail.ru/public/2JbP/5f8QkfjsA
Andrew, I would like to post this in the download area of the webserver if you approve and mention in the manual too? On Tue, Dec 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM Andrew Randrianasulu <[email protected]> wrote:

I am not sure if anyone *uses* this, now nearly 9 years old distro (my friend for whom I initially did this test moved to newer distro) but I still use this build environment (+ nasm 2.14.02) for seeing any possible failures on less tested old OSes. Surely you can bring it up to official server, it should be only 55 Mb or so (no manual files there, so it is small compared to appimages). I was a bit worried about our new php-driven download page, but it worked ok. I think you can note in the manual that yeah, cingg can be built even on older distros (sometimes important due to dropped/degraded hw support in newest ones). Spec itself still produces some rpmlint errors, but may be they eventually will be fixed if more packagers visit our corner ....

Just out of curiosity, does the AppImage work on Rosa? or is a full build required? On Tue, Dec 9, 2025 at 7:00 PM Andrew Randrianasulu <[email protected]> wrote:

Well, I've build cinelerra-HV appimage in this chroot, so it works as technology. Not tested "our" appimage yet. Will try and report back ;)
