Just my personal opinion, but I prefer a single downloadable document, instead of only web-based docs. PDF means I can read it at my leisure, in an airgapped environment...being 100% connected is not always a good thing.

well, we had both variants before server redesign. Sometimes I just looked up html version because it was faster for me...

I have no problem with both being available, but html-online-only is my pet peave about many FOSS projects.
Andrew, I will be checking all of the links as I get time, but this works: https://download.cinelerra-gg.org/?path=%2Fsrc and then click "Online Manual", the third box over. On Fri, Dec 19, 2025 at 10:23 AM Andrew Randrianasulu via Cin < [email protected]> wrote:

@Rob There is no risk of the PDF version going missing, as the manual is written in Latex and the only possible output is PDF. Conversion to HTML is very delicate and is made possible by the patches that Georgy sent to the developer of “latex2html.” The HTML manual is useful in the mailing list and forum to link users to the specific section they are looking for. But its main function is to provide context help for CinGG, also developed by Georgy.
