1. Create a clip from the main timeline 2. Notice that the clip is created in the resources window 3. Save the project 4. Open another project 5. Open the previous project 6. Notice that the clips are not present anymore -- Stefan
It is really strange. I have just tested it with "CinGG-20230430-x86_64-older_distros.AppImage" on UbuntuStudio_16.04. It works correctly. What Cinelerra-GG version are you using? When you create a clip from Main window using "To clip (i)" button, are the tracks armed? Note: Clips are "stored" in Resource Window-> Clips bin IgorBeg Il 12/06/2023 10:26, Stefan de Konink via Cin ha scritto:

Some git version.

This may have been the culpit. I am currently able to do it, when recording the bug... I can in my current project also consistently crash cinelerra by just undo'ing. So I have had better days, than today. :) -- Stefan

I am sorry for that. Very little time I use Undo then I can not say anything about . Usually I start a project naming it "MyProjectName_a.xml". The last letter "a" become "b", "c" and so on, using "Save as" option every time I work on it, or when I think to do an important change on the Timeline. When my project is finished I rename it to "MyProjectName.xml".

"Arm" button in the track is foundamental. It allows to create a Clip of what you want. So, if on Timeline there are two or more tracks you can save a clip of one or more tracks, highlighting an area, it depends only from what track is armed. IgorBeg

Does this involve nested projects/clips? I think crashers basically always real, even if they happen due to inconsistent/corrupt project file for example. So please file a bug!

Contemplating problem and replies from Igor and Andrew ... 1. Create a clip from the main timeline
2. Notice that the clip is created in the resources window 3. Save the project 4. Open another project 5. Open the previous project 6. Notice that the clips are not present anymore
When I use these 6 steps on a simple case, even if all tracks are disarmed when I create the clip, the clip still shows up in the Resources window clip bin when I have executed Step #5. BUT before and after you will notice that if you right mouse click on one of the clips in the Resources window and choose the Info option, you will see "+0:00:00:00" as the size of the clip so there is nothing there because it was disarmed. So is working correctly like IgorBeg said. As for the "undo" crash, as Andrew stated, it would be good to have a bug report on this -- OR just provide more details so we can recreate the problem and I will make a bug report. If it is reproducible and you have an example, that would be so helpful. Crashes are the absolute worse thing. You can send files privately if you want and they will not be shared.
