I have been working with Cinelerra a few hours today. I edited two projects, viewed the result by playing and saved. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Cinelerra has started crashing. It seems to have nothing to do with the RAM or hard disc space, as these are not exhausted. This is the log I get.

some software restricted access to X server? if you run cin as another user (relative to one started X session) you can check man xhost and grant access to X server to your user .... also, check DISPLAY variable it usually points at local display like ":0" but for remote sessions and some multiserver (multiseat?) setups it can be different...

The problem occurs with the latest AppImage as well as with a far older one. My system is OpenSuSE Leap 15.3. The command uname -a yields:

also, if you get Wayland session out of nothing check that Xwayland is running. I am always suspicious when I see a line with "AssetVIconThread" near the end when there is a problem because Vicons take a lot of system resources. If still problems, you might want to try turning off the vicons via: Settings->Preferences, Appearance tab and towards the bottom right hand side uncheck "Use thumbnails is resource window" If this fixes the crashes and you still want vicons, you can change the size and quality and recreate them.
