Some changes for testing purposes for clipping and speed
An x86 AppImage for older Operating Systems AND with the alternative shortcut set is at: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/cin-x86_alternative.AppImage Hoping *IgorBeghetto* might get a chance to test this weekend. Changes included are for - Blur plugin should prevent clipping (Andrea has tested successfully) - Title plugin should prevent clipping (Andrea has tested successfully) - Because BT #672 (https://www.cinelerra-gg.org/bugtracker/view.php?id=672) was fixed without real understanding of the underlying problem, testing of Speed and especially Bump Autos (which is what I think that the original blunder fix addressed) would be helpful. Explanation of Bump Autos is still online at: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/bump_autos.pdf Feedback welcome. Thanks, Phyllis
Thanks Phyllis,... I will try. I read BT #672 and there is the steps to test it. But for both Blur and Title plugins,... is there an image to test it? Thank you. IgorBeg Il 12/04/2025 02:02, Phyllis Smith via Cin ha scritto:

IgorB - no need to test any special video as we just want to make sure that the small change in Andrew's 0001-Experimental-remove-clipping-from-blur-titler-plugin.patch does not break any of the normal Blur or Titler plugin workings. Breakage of currently working stuff is the main concern. But if you want to check to make sure clipping does not occur Andrea might have a suggested test file but "I THINK" that any HDR file will suffice. I downloaded from: https://www.hdri-hub.com/hdrishop/freesamples/freehdri/item/113-hdr-111-park... where it says Download, the HDR 111 Parking Lot zip file. For blur and Title you don't need to do an HDR test, just see if they don't create problems with normal video (to me, so far, they don't). The value of the patch is that such plugins can be used in combination with others (e.g. Blue Banana) without introducing the clipping into the process.
Thank you both Phyllis (for the AppImage) and Andrea_paz for the info about. I tested with it with an old Project of mine and it seems to work as an old Cinelerra-gg version. Keep in mind that my Laptop's screen is set in sRGB and calibrated with Argyll-CMS. I tried the Speed plugin issue as descibed in BT #672, and it works fine for me. Thank you! Mods to Blur and Titler plugins have been checked into GIT. Thanks to Andrew, Andrea and IgorB for testing. On Sat, Apr 12, 2025 at 2:51 PM Andrea paz <[email protected]> wrote:
