What about putting this in the beginning of bld.sh and bld_appimage.sh,
just after the
#! /bin/bash 

if [ $SHELL != /bin/bash" ] ; then
echo "Having shell /bin/bash is mandatory"
echo "Stopping build"
exit
fi
