Other things to keep in mind are:

1- Debian has updated binaries due to the Elive Linux maintainer.

2- Arch is updated using the user repository (AUR); there is also the
appimage version:
sudo yay -S cin-appimage
sudo yay -S cinelerra-gg

3- FreeBSD is updated by a maintainer.
