[Cin] Complete system hangs (likely out of memory)

After a night of sleep I think what should happen is not "create" the cache 
if it already exists. For me it does not make sense to have "multiple 
caches". Now the remaining question is, would the cache get cleaned up 
automatically without running out of memory?

I am going to try some things today.
