[Cin] Two patches hopefully fixing build on NetBSD 10.0/amd64

As previously mentioned this is a backup laptop where I finally installed
Fedora 40, which is fedora's latest release.  Tomorrow I will boot my
regular laptop and build there.  Python version on Fedora 40 is 3.12.7.
