When I look at the XML file, I see that a clip created in the Viewer is different then a clip created on the timeline in the areas of Start / End / Zoom / X/Y dimensions. My expectation was that with a 'clipped' asset, I could have a new timeline <br>
to do my edits in (relative to that clip) and insert that clip in the main <br>
timeline.<br>

The initial point that I made was not to pollute the "target" timeline as <br>
'scratch space'.<br>
