Yes, thank you, I didn't think current directory was left out.
But UB still cannot install the package do to some conflicts ...

sudo apt install ./cin_5.1.20241009.ubuntu2204_amd64.deb
...
You might run «apt --fix-broken install» to fix it.
The following package has unsolved dependices:
oem-tlp-config-sound-power-saving : Depends of: tlp but not
installed
oem-workaround-disable-tlp-lp1724191 : Depends of: tlp not
installed

Tried this back and from without sucesss to solve this.

Well, I admit I have never been a real UB user. But as
UB16 initally was fabric installed on my Dell XPS 13-9370
(KBL), I have kept and upgraded UB as part of multiboot with
openSUSE Leap and Slowroll on this machine. So I upgraded to
the available UB 24.04.1LTS to prepare a new Cingg test on
it.

Actually my old installed Cinelerra Infinity

I tried first to install the latest cin_5.1.20241009.ubuntu2204_amd64.deb
package without success.

sudo apt

corresponding "zypper in" on Leap does)
So I downloaded the package and tried
What is the issue, when the deb package is in the local
directory?
2)
So I tried the AppImage

./CinGG-20241120-x86_64-IntelHW.AppImage
dlopen(): error loading libfuse.so.2

AppImages require FUSE to run.
You might still be able to extract the contents of this
AppImage
if you run it with the --appimage-extract option.
See https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageKit/wiki/FUSE
for more information

Before this I had installed FUSE according to the wiki

sudo add-apt-repository universe
sudo apt install libfuse2t64

I had a look back into the AppImage (Fuse) mail thread, and
ask here if a Fix was found that can be used here?
