Excellent! I would like to read the PDF files you created for future reference. You can send directly to me if you want - phylsmith2017@gmail.com Thanks for sharing. On Tue, Nov 3, 2026, 19:30 Terje J. Hanssen <terjejhanssen@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi everyone,
Thans for the feedback.
Now I think Cinelerra-GG (CinGG) is successfully built from source and dynamic linked on both openSUSE Slowroll and openSUSE Leap 16.1.
The build_prepare.sh package list for openSUSE is updated in the prepared build-guides. GCC 15/16, FFmpeg 8.x/9.x, Python 3.13, and stricter linker behaviors seemingly require tailored configurations, so specific compiler flags and header path inclusions are applied:
Compiler Flags: Used explicit include flags (-I/usr/include/ffmpeg, -I/usr/include/a52dec) and mandatory macro defines (-D_GNU_SOURCE, -include stdint.h, -include pthread.h).
Build Options: Configured with --with-single-user --disable-static-build --without-thirdparty --without-lv2 to seamlessly interoperate with system libraries.
Although minimal testing, both builds so far result in a functional binary at ./bin/cin.
As documentation and reference, I have prepared step-by-step build guides as PDF files for both openSUSE distributions. If there is interest in these, I can offer them for upload,
Terje
