I was wondering if Andrew's patch for batch rendering (batchrender_postmerge_xml_check.diff) is already in Git. Even though it fixes a very rare issue, I think it's useful because it prevents us from corrupting the (non-XML) file we're targeting. I recall that if we run a command-line render and mistakenly target any file other than the XML project file, that file gets completely corrupted. PS: It seems to me that it also handles simple command-line rendering, not just batch rendering.
No, it is not in and thanks for the reminder so I can check it in. I was in the middle of digging up the old email of what the objection was to putting it in and got side tracked. On Sat, Jun 20, 2026, 13:18 Andrea paz via Cin <cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org> wrote:

As pointed out by Andrea, fix was not in so I now finally checked it into GIT. For some reason I have it in my staged area on April 26 at the same time as Makefile.am changes and libaom-v3.8.0.patch2 which did get checked in that day. Not sure why I did not get it properly checked in. Thanks to both Andrew and Andrea for keeping everything moving ...Phyllis On Sat, Jun 20, 2026 at 1:18 PM Andrea paz via Cin < cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org> wrote:
