CinGG GIT checkin on new server for FFmpeg version 8.0
The new Cinelerra-GG server GIT repository is fully functional now and I have checked in updates for FFmpeg 8.0. It is now at https://git.cinelerra-gg.org/goodguy/cinelerra.git so the following read-only git is: git clone https://git.cinelerra-gg.org/goodguy/cinelerra.git *Note for Andrey*: hoping you will continue updating/creating the cin-gg-packages/releases In addition, I am planning on keeping the github.com/phylsmith/Cinelerra_GG repository updated at the same time for those people who wander through Github (smiley face). But if I ever figure out the ownership/password for the cinelerra-gg github repository, I will probably switch to that.

Thanks, after "git pull -r" on Termux it still compiles and appear to work (giraffe.ogg file loads and plays, F_drawbox as example of ffmpeg vid filter works) against Termux's ffmpeg 7.1.2

Hello Phyllis, I've made the necessary changes to my build farm configuration. The packages will be built on every Git commit again. Best regards, Andrey ср, 19 нояб. 2025 г., 22:38 Andrew Randrianasulu <[email protected]>:

Hi Andrey, Thank you for the cinelerra-5.1-20251127.suse15.x86_64.rpm package, which I've installed on Leap 15.6 and verified thatw it was based on ffmpeg-8. Any thoughts about Leap 16 (which 'I have not migrated to yet) or Slowroll (that I use mostly)? Terje J. Hanssen
Hi Terje, I would like to add new operating systems to my build farm. However, I've been wanting to rewrite all of its code for a year now because it's hard to maintain. After I rewrite it, I will add new systems. By the way, I'm planning to remove the package for Debian 11 because it lacks some libraries. It's not very critical at the moment, but problems might arise in the future. Is anyone using the packages for Debian 11? Best regards, Andrey чт, 27 нояб. 2025 г., 15:49 Terje J. Andrey,

Most likely you will not know until it disappears, but I think it would be better to use the more recent Debian instead. Since minor fixes along with library upgrades is the main focus of CinGG these days, those using your Debian 11 CinGG package should be good. And if not, they can always use the AppImage. Just my opinion! On Thu, Nov 27, 2025 at 12:10 PM Андрей Спицын via Cin < [email protected]> wrote:
