Yes, I commented a bit more on this in https://www.cinelerra-gg.org/bugtracker/view.php?id=313

It seems ogg/theora (video) combination is .. special. 

But as long as current players happy ...may be those complains from command line 
can be ignored/downgraded in their dev. priority?
