[Cin] Debian 11 build good but problems on execution

This is what I did:
- installed Debian Bullseye from 18 CDs
- installed the minimum amount of stuff I thought I needed but still not
enough...
- ran blds/bld_prepare.sh debian to install the rest of necessary packages
- executed ./bld.sh and there were no errors
- built with the debugger
- Cinelerra comes up successfully
- a video .mov file with no audio loads successfully
- a .jpg fails and backtrace below
- a big buck bunny .mkv file fails and backtrace below
