Hi I've made some significant progress in getting the build going - and will have some patches to drop that solve some issues for builds using system libs and non x86 based archs. The current issue I'm stumbling on is that configure doesn't detect the systems liba52 and a52dec/a52.h header files as installed. Is the Waveform properly calibrated ?

When I analyze a sequence of SMPT ntsc SD color bars generated by my DV camera. The Waveform correctly indicates that the black bands are at 7.5 IRE but places the white band at around 92 IRE instead of 100 IRE and the colored bands around 70 IRE instead of 75 IRE... This in a project in DV ntsc YUV 720x480 format with the preferences "YUV colors space" to BT601 and "YUV color range" to JPEG. If you choose instead the preference "YUV color range" in MPEG, the white band is correctly at 100 IRE and the colored bands are 75 IRE, but... the black bands are now wrongly at 0 IRE... So no possibility to have a good reading. This is true whether I use the X11-OpenGL video driver or just X11. While HDV and FHD video can rendered for Blu-ray media, the widespread DVD can only playback SD video content. HDV camcorders can during tape playback 1440x1080 anamorphic HDV content, downconvert it to Widescreen Anamorphic 16:9 video. Is it possible to get a Preset for DV(D) wide 16:9 video? DNxHR presets

I tried to put DNxHR presets under the .mov container. The advantages of using this mezzanine codec are great quality and efficiency (like ProRes) and being self-managed for each resolution and bit-rate (unlike DNxHD which has many fixed and unalterable formats for each resolution). The only disadvantage compared to DNxHD is that it supports only progressive and not interlaced signals. If someone wants to try them, I make them available (there are also 2 audio presets of type pcm). They seem to work apart from some settings: - Pixel_format gbrp10le of pulldown ("pixels:") does not work (it remains yuv type). - in pixel_format pulldown there is no choice for bit-depth=12; while DNxHR_HQX and DNxHR_444 profiles should be 12-bit (for resolutions higher than FullHD). Is this a limit of CinGG? - pix_fmt=rgb24 does not work. Since I can't find any official documentation, if you have any advice please say so.
