After upgrading the latex2html on Fedora_35, both PDF and HTML manual build fine. But, using diffpdf to compare the versions produced in Mint 19.3, Mint 20.3, and Fedora 35, the Mint version differ in only 27 words, but Fedora much more. In the Mint versions, diffpdf (when comparing words) highlights e.g. on chapter 1.3.4, table 1.1, page 15, for much of the table the "yes" and "auto" words, even though I cannot see a difference between them. The source .tex file are all the same. Also, on that table, on Mint 19.3 the entry for x264 is on the next page, on Mint 20.3 it is at the same page, last entry in the table there. So the layout is not exactly the same, even though differences are very small (sometime a line is on a different page). The two version have the same number of pages, though. On Fedora 35, there are 576 word different compared to Mint 20.3, the Fedora manual is also 2 pages shorter. E.g. on page 63, "Preset shapes section" on Mint 20.3 the last line ends with "The first" , on Fedora there is an extra line after that. I am not sure it is worthwhile investigation this difference, nothing obvious jumps to the fore when comparing the log files. There are some warnings in Fedora's log that are not there in Mint, e.g. File: mdsffont.def 2013/08/29 v2.31 (Math Design Project) LaTeX Warning: Font shape declaration has incorrect series value `mc'. It should not contain an `m'! Please correct it. Found on input line 53. and multiple more of these for this font. I am not the same opinion of Georgy regarding that is does not matter where the manual comes from when joining it with CinGG. For the functionality it does not matter, but I believe that one should be able to build all parts of the whole shipped product (AppImage with online help), and that incldues the manual. MatN

Resource leaking and high memory usage

I have imported a bunch of 4K video's and created a proxy out of it. In that Cinelerra session my memory usage became 9.9GB. When closing the project and reopening it the totally used memory reduced. GIT update of libvpx

Updated and checked into GIT, libvpx from 1.8.2 to 1.11.0. Compiled and 1 test on Fedora 32, Debian 9.1-32bit, and Ubuntu 16.04 and the reason was because the notes said Nasm 2.15 recommended. But Debian and Ubuntu both were at 2.13 and compiled OK and I rendered to VP9. Andrea, if you use VP9 a lot, could you do a couple of test on your Arch system? Andrew, I did update the patch1 also so I think I did it correctly but if not, just let me know. ...Phyllis

Slight update for differences.pdf

For some reason, today I decided to update the differences.pdf file at: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/differences.pdf The * in the rightmost column shows lines I changed - not very many, just 25 of them. But the previous last update was 10/25/2019 so I wanted to get it up to date. I did not update the count for formats, codecs, colormodels, decoders, encoders and muxers but will try to do that when FFmpeg 5.1 is released and updated on CinGG.

Checked into GIT, updated tiff and libogg

Just checked into GIT, tiff which went from 4.1.0 to 4.3.0 and libogg from 1.3.4 to 1.3.5. I did do a test to read in and render tiff sequences and ogg video files and saw no issues. The updated libraries look innocuous but had not had updates for a year or 2. (Andrew, I made sure tiff-4.1.0.patch1 was carried over to tiff-4.3.0.patch1.) Also want to update libvpx but have not found the latest version and its relevant version number yet. And fftw-3.3.8 is now at version 3.3.10 on the web, but for some reason when I change configure.ac from 8 to 10, CinGG still creates 8 and then looks for 10 so the compile fails. If I delete fftw-3.3.8.tar.xz in thirdparty/src directory and have only fftw-3.3.10.tar xz there it works, but I should not have to do that. More details available if you understand what the problem is and can make a suggestion for me to try. Thanks, Phyllis

Ubuntubuzz.com offers Cinelerra-GG in combination with Natron https://www.ubuntubuzz.com/2022/01/install-cinelerra-and-natron-professiona… It mentions the cinelerra-gg download page. By the way... isn't it time to remove from the download page of the site (https://www.cinelerra-gg.org/downloads/) the mentions and accesses to the now very outdated (more than two years of delay on development) CinGG packages? A new user in too much of a hurry to read everything would have a really unrepresentative experience of what CinGG is now... Pierre
