Build failure in Debian 12?

User-reported: https://www.linux.org.ru/forum/multimedia/17019779/page1?lastmod=1689920588… not sure where problem lies, I do not have Debian 12.0 VM yet ... apparently some packages changed their names, like libdc1394-22-dev, python. were replaced (for testing) in prepare script with nearest analogs libdc1394-dev и python3 I wonder what fail log will say ....

Questions for those using CinGG and Natron.

What is your workflow with the two programs? All editing in CinGG and then switching to Natron for rotoscoping and VFX? What format do you use for the transition, OpenEXR? Color with what program do you do it? Do you constantly switch between programs?

Avidemux 2.8.1: compiles with va-api, then promptly crashes :) LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=none avidemux3_qt5 this way it works, at least video playback part. I also learned Cmake 3.21 at least can't find X11 libs in their /usr/X11R7/lib hidden place, even with pkg-config. So, few symlinks did the job. Flowblade (some git version) : Wanted MLT 7.0.4 obviously and then worked on video playback Just ..main window much longer than 1440 px I have! shotcut - 21.12.24: A bit old, but shows up for work. Need sip/pyQt5. openshot-3.1.1: Promised better stability and performance. New Audacity 3.2.5 crashed once, not sure why (their playhead manipulation a bit different by default) KiCAD 7.0.6 (modded Slackbuild) failed to load wxPython - no python scripting ... { Not really video editor, but can make 3d models of PCB (printed circuits board). 3d models for it weight like 5 Gb unpacked :) } Freecad 0.20 apparently can make short animations - installed but not tried. https://wiki.freecad.org/Release_notes_0.20 This is why I am not big fan of Python - it breaks in non-obvious ways ... So, I think CinGG still best idea around* when it comes to video :) *on my machine :) Thanks everyone! timidity as midi soft synth

So, I installed timidity + sound fonts and was experimenting with it. Initially I only get sound via esd or oss output, then turned out I can add '-s 48000' switch to both command line and Alsa sequencer mode - and now it plays in TDE midi application, aplaymidi, or even xmms! http://www.develia.org/files/amidi-plug-0.7.tar.bz2 Nice to have old sites/software still around .... I wonder if many modern (but alsa-based) systems suffer from it? I think I saw this bug (as no sound/heavily distorted first seconds of sound) on both desktop and laptop.
