The second one has been years in the making. ==== I just re-run autogen.sh after first patch, second one is untested yet (need full rebuild for this, rn I have shared (system) ffmpeg build for recompilation speeeeed.

Cin-GG version to follow FFmpeg version?

.Hi Cin-GG 5.1 has been out quit a while. Currently Cin-GG happends to have the same version 5.1 as her current FFmpeg version base? Just my thought without much thinking what it implies beyond documentation updates: Because FFmpeg is a major part of Cin-GG, would it be beneficial beyond informative to let Cin-GG version follow her FFmeg base version; like version 6.1 next? So, I was looking second time at gegl's exposure compensation tool.. description: https://ninedegreesbelow.com/photography/gimp-tone-map-with-levels.html Tool code lives as https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gegl/-/blob/master/operations/common/exposur… but I found that you can use gegl from command line, but may be test it inside gimp first and then export xml/text file for reuse https://barefootliam.blogspot.com/2022/12/gegl-plug-ins-for-gimp-part-two-g… I wonder if some of those "bring values to specific range, like 0.0 - 1.0f" operations deserve their own plugin in cinelerra (if we ever debug those "unbounded" floating point operations)

Internally, we have had a number of changes too. The FFT, MDCT, DCT and DST implementation used for codecs and filters has been fully replaced with the faster libavutil/tx (full article about it coming soon). This also led to a reduction in the the size of the compiled binary, which can be noticeable in small builds. There was a very large reduction in the total amount of allocations being done on each frame throughout video decoders, reducing overhead. RISC-V optimizations for many parts of our DSP code have been merged, with mainly the large decoders being left. There was an effort to improve the correctness of timestamps and frame durations of each packet, increasing the accurracy of variable frame rate video. Next major release will be version 7.0, scheduled to be released in February. We will attempt to better stick to the new release schedule we announced at the start of this year.
