Crash at fast 'z' (undo) for many-fade-keyframes?

I was playing with new bump autos, set some on fade curve, played with type of each keyframe point, and then decided to remove them all by hitting 'z' fast. Possible hack/idea for automatically workaround clearing wrong keyframes?

So, I looked into mainmenu.C and there I can see (searching for ClearKeyframes) int ClearKeyframes::handle_event() { if( mwindow->session->current_operation == NO_OPERATION ) mwindow->clear_automation(); return 1; } and for "keyframes_follow_edits" I see keyframes_follow_edits->set_checked(mwindow->edl->session->autos_follow_edits); so, may be save this state into tmp variable, test this mwindow->edl->session->autos_follow_edits , and if set to 1 - clear temporarily before calling mwindow->clear_automation(); and restore from tmp variable afterwards?

Today's GIT checkin includes fixes + Ctrl-s for save session

Hopefully this solves some of the new user complaints -- *Ctrl-s ALSO saves the session as does the original "s" shortc*ut. We can not lose the "s" since too many users already know and use this consistently but since according to the forum, 99% of people use Ctrl-s to save the session. Unfortunately, this means that "Save Settings" under settings has had to change to Ctrl-Shift-S. If you have concerns about this, please let us know -- I am sorry that we find it necessary to ever change anything. Also, we would like to change Ctrl-z to be a undo in addition to the current shortcut "z" -- as this is another major complaint of new users. Same reasoning as above. We have not done this yet as ctrl-z in currently in use in a couple of different ways. If you have objections about this change, now is the time to say so. GIT changes also include: - Igor's last auto bump found error where the effects did not correctly stay put - other auto bump fixes - updated es.po (thanks to RafaMar as he has faithfully been providing for months now) - undo tweaks - *new feature is drag speed highlights; *check this out as I believe it is quite useful because it shows you the change that the speed up/down will make to the timeline while moving and then drops it there when you let up on the mouse - fix to ffmpeg filter parameters for video (to match previous change already done for audio); this allows for usage of f*_minterpolate *(and possibly other ffmpeg plugins that were commented out but I did not have time to test); "yes", it can be cpu intensive like Igor suggested and it does not seek so I *do not know if minterpolate will be useful* anyway but at least it does not crash. In order to get use of this plugin, you will have to "Reload Plugins" which you can do from Preferences. - normalize speed tweaks.

New ffmpeg plugins

I enclose my plugins.opts after testing some of the ffmpeg plugins that were commented before: 15 now work, although some I have no idea how they work or what use they have. The others still don't work, giving the usual errors. There are some that do not give errors when booting CinGG but then do not appear in the list of plugins. Probably you can make them work, but I don't know if it is worth wasting time. WORKS: allrgb; allyuv; cellauto; codecview (I don't know how to use it!); copy; fps; freezedetect; null; pixdesctest (I don't know how to use it!); pullup (I don't know how to use it!); random; reverse; selective colors; settb; tonemap; vmafmotion (I don't know how to use it!). NO ERROR but NO LOADS: alphaextract; decimate; displace; extractplanes; hdcd; join; mergeplanes; noformat; removelogo; replaygain; xmedian; mix; drawtext; subtitles.

Bump Autos + other checked into GIT

New "Bump Autos" have been checked into GIT. A demo is at: https://streamable.com/4kqlpv The initial goal was to resolve some of the issues reported with Speed with the end result of application to all of the float autos (to include Camera and Projector). Documentation is not yet available due to Phyllis not being available much to do anything. Hopefully it will get done by the 31st. Test builds for Ubuntu 20, Mint 18 and Arch can be downloaded (*in about 2 hours from now*) at https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/ look for the one with today's date on it. The icon symbols that were checked in are still being worked too. GG

Improved Scale plugin from Contributor checked in

The GIT has an improved Scale plugin added. And Locale was replaced with Language in the Settings->Preferences, Appearance tab. GG is working on improving the Speed Auto. I am having to spend more time in the next couple of weeks on personal stuff.

Phyllis, the new mint package installs perfect. Thank you all. My only REQUEST for some time in the future: Could you add an additional tab for language settings in the preferences - like in the animation program Krita? My system is set up in German and I constantly need to switch between German and English to make full use of the excellent English tutorials which are out there. (I have been using Cinelerra since 2008. But with new technologies and equipment I am constantly testing and learning) At the moment I have to start CIN in the terminal to make it load the English language at start. That does it for me, but it is not an elegant solution. Have a look at Krita.

Decoding with mplayer was fine if I set CPU to on-demand performance, but just 4x 1.4Ghz of my AMD FX 4300 was not enough for single stream decode. This codec was rumored to be fast for both encode and decode, guess ffmpeg implementation not very fast yet ...
